Program Description:

"Hacking the SDGs" is a workshop designed to tackle challenges within nine of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which serve as the focal point for the Rainforest Youth Festival. These goals encompass critical areas like Education, Health, Water, and Climate.

Learning Outcomes:

Learn how to engage with communities to pinpoint existing challenges related to the selected SDGs. This involves active listening, empathy, and understanding local contexts. Once problems are identified, participants will learn how to analyse issues to uncover underlying root causes. This step is crucial for developing effective and sustainable solutions. Engage in a creative process to brainstorm and generate innovative solutions to the identified problems. This may involve group work, design thinking exercises, and collaboration. Learn how to effectively communicate the value and impact of their solutions. This includes crafting compelling presentations, storytelling, and showcasing the value and impact of proposed solutions.
