Chief Composter, Ground Control
Harbir embarked on his composting journey in 2011, initially motivated by the necessity of enriching soil for his home vegetable garden. However, his exploration of composting techniques soon evolved into a deep-seated commitment to sustainable living and gardening practices, sparking a keen interest in large-scale composting initiatives. In 2017, Harbir took a bold step by establishing Malaysia's inaugural urban composting facility in Port Dickson, propelled by a steadfast vision for environmental sustainability. Serving as the driving force behind Ground Control, he has positioned the organization as a trailblazer in eco-consciousness, diverting significant volumes of organic waste from landfills and nurturing soil health in the process. Ground Control remains unwavering in its mission to minimize organic waste and enhance soil quality, sourcing materials exclusively from urban centers under Harbir's guidance. Through relentless advocacy and educational outreach efforts, the company champions composting as a holistic solution for waste management and soil enrichment, fostering a greener, more resilient urban environment.
