Since 2017, Mark Liao has been actively championing meaningful youth engagement and nature preservation, with a special focus on the Sarawak landscape. As a representative of Sarawak Eco Warriors and Plants for Plastic, Mark has made significant contributions to conservation efforts through various international, regional, and local initiatives and programs. Guided by his belief that "everyone has a role to play in nature conservation," he ensures that his programs are inclusive and accessible to individuals from diverse backgrounds, specializations, and cultures. In 2020, Mark co-founded Plants for Plastic, a multifaceted establishment encompassing a garden center, events space, and community hub. The venture not only offers sustainable alternatives within the garden industry but also actively supports ongoing environmental conservation endeavors. Presently, the collective focuses on three main thematic areas: Youth Empowerment, Waste Management, and Biodiversity Conservation.
