Peace Ambassador, Storyteller & Founder, Waves to Home
Zoya is a Palestinian-Ukrainian Peace Ambassador, storyteller, and advocate for personal transformation. Her life journey has given her a deeply unique perspective, having experienced the trauma of two wars and becoming a refugee twice. These challenges shaped her understanding of resilience, the human spirit, and the profound power of storytelling. Through her experiences, Zoya came to realize the transformative potential of stories—not only in helping individuals make sense of their lives, but also in creating change on a global scale. She believes in the power of individuals to shape their own narratives and, in doing so, shape the world around them.
To share this vision, Zoya founded Waves to Home, a global storytelling movement designed to change the world through the sharing of personal and collective stories. The platform connects people from different walks of life, encouraging them to share their journeys of struggle, hope, and healing. Zoya is also currently in the process of writing her first book, a deeply personal account of her life that carries a message of hope and healing for others who have endured trauma.
As a master’s student in Psychology, Zoya aspires to become a Positive Psychologist, using her knowledge and personal experiences to help others navigate life’s challenges. She is committed to supporting people in creating meaningful lives, despite the traumas they may have faced, and guiding them toward healing, growth, and resilience.
